Expeditions: Rome is the third in a trilogy by developers Logic Artists, and follows on from 2017’s Expeditions: Viking (but not literally, since it starts hundreds of years beforehand and all). They’re running half-length races, and have made a few tweaks so it’s not super serious racing. “Due to the wide variety of gaming skill levels amongst the drivers, game settings will be configured in such a way to encourage competitive and entertaining racing,” Codemasters explained. “This includes running equal car performance with fixed setups, reduced vehicle damage, and optional anti-lock brakes and traction control for those less familiar with the game....

I quite like how bright all of the character illustrations are, almost as if they’ve been drawn with neon highlighters....

Fall Guys was a breakout success last year thanks in part to its popularity on Twitch, and it peaked with over a 100k concurrent players on Steam in its month of release. Its popularity has waned since, but Mediatonic have continued to update the game with new modes and DLC costumes for the bean people who wobble through its multiplayer obstacle courses. In a post on the Mediatonic blog, the developers mostly said that everything would remain the same for now: Fall Guys will still be available on Steam, and they still plan to bring it to Switch and Xbox....

Halo Infinite’s roadmap for multiplayer, the introduction of co-op and info about Forge were all supposed to be out in January, but 343’s Joseph Staten tweeted back at the very start of February that the company would share details when they were ready. It didn’t help either that there were significant teething troubles like the matchmaking issues with Big Team Battle that many players faced for months, and no campaign co-op at launch....

“Unfortunately, as we focused the team for shutdown and really focused on the quality experience for launch, we made the really tough decision to delay shipping campaign co-op for launch,” says creative head Joseph Staten in the update video down here. He later describes “shutdown mode” as a period of heavy bug fixing. “And we also made the tough call to delay shipping Forge past launch as well.” Both Forge and campaign co-op getting bumped back is a pretty big bummer, honestly....

Maybe I’ll have more luck if I asked whether any of you have played Galaxy of Win Games, from 1998? I’ve actually written about one of the games in this collection before - the fabulous and timeless Spooky Castle. But Battleboard, it seems, has not borne the slings and arrows of passing time as stoically as its fellows. I can find barely two or three references to the game on the entirety of the Interwebs....
