Desperados 3 is a prequel to the classic tactical Desperados game. It’s got a heck of a lot in common with Mimimi Productions’ previous stealth game Shadow Tactics: Blades Of The Shogun which, for my money, was quite good. It rates on RPS’s list of best strategy games on PC too. If you played their samurai stealth game, you’ll be pretty familiar with how each of Desperados 3’s characters have special abilities for tactically tackling baddies around each of its maps....

In this week’s This Week At Bungie rundown, Luke Smith announced plans to mix up the way Destiny handles rewards. Right now, the team feel the balance of routes to acquiring new gear is “not where we want it”, with too few reasons to get out into the world and try new things. Starting with Season 12, each new season will now bring at least one new armour pursuit for raids, trials and strikes, something Smith reckons hasn’t been done consistently....

So I’ve been asking a bunch of developers to pick out something they’ve created that brings them pleasure to look back on. And here they are, including Harvey Smith remembering his input on Deus Ex and Dishonored, Derek Yu on one of his first-ever games. There’s pride in doing something for someone else’s game, in the power of details and in little inventions, and ah gosh, shut up, let’s just tuck into a big slice of escapist positivity....

The news was announced with a tweet, although we’re still reliant on the announcement trailer for what the update contains: The update adds the “Toy Story realm”, which looks like a version of Andy’s bedroom in which your Dreamlight Valley character will be shrunk to the size of a toy. You’ll also be able to bring Woody and Buzz Lightyear back to your world to meet other Disney characters, and to dress-up in various Toy Story themed characters....

The showcase is hosted by Kinda Funny’s Blessing Adeoye Jr. It’ll feature new stuff from Lucasfilm Games and 20th Century Games along with the obvious Marvels and Disneys. In a statement to PC Gamer, EVGA say (perhaps a bit non-specifically) that “Yes, all failed 3090’s are being replaced.” According to PC Gamer, “there is reportedly also now a specific ‘New World’ category when it comes to giving the reason for the return of the faulty graphics card.” EVGA have reportedly given a similar statement to tech YouTuber “JayzTwoCents”. In a video testing New World with an RTX 3090 GPU, Jay says that an EVGA member told him players with affected GPUs are “already getting their replacement cards,” saying that shipping has already begun for replacements....
