Sangonomiya Kokomi is the leader of the Sangonomiya Resistance, a group opposed to the decrees of the Raiden Shogun in her capacity as Archon of Inazuma. Given that Kokomi is pretty much a mermaid, she’s unsurprisingly a Hydro Catalyst wielder. While her kit renders her largey unsuitable for DPS roles, she does stand out as Genshin Impact’s premium healer, being the only 5-star character to date build around that particular role....

My new character in Skyrim is a bandit. I have 101 mods installed. One of them lets me start as a member of the bandit faction, in theory meaning that all guards will attack me on sight, and all bandits will ignore me. In practice, one of the other 100 mods installed has clashed with it, so other bandits attack me anyway. There are also many, many more bandits. And the handful of combat mods I’ve stitched into my Gordian modlist since 2011 mean that, when fighting multiple people, anything short of heavy artillery basically guarantees death....

Despite being an estimate year from release, Hardspace Colon Shipbreaker already gets a lot of things right. But my favourite thing about it is one I didn’t even expect to feel so good: peeling the armour off a ship. The basic idea is near self-explanatory. You’re a salvage worker taking apart disused ships in a drydock, leisurely jetpacking around in zero gravity, climbing (or cutting) inside them before cutting them down from within....

Sega already announced back in December that a truckload of Yakuza games would be coming to PC this month, but still, it’s nice to have the reminder. I’m told they’re very good games indeed. Ed in particular is a big fan of Yakuza 5’s plotline where you play as a cutesy high-school J-Pop idol. The next big’un is The Medium, a new supernatural horror game from Observer developers, Bloober. It takes place in an abandoned hotel in Poland, and looks like a proper good spookfest....

The new “Lite Hash Rate”, or LHR, models of their RTX 30 series will start shipping in late May, according to a new blog post from Nvidia. Graphics card manufacturers will also be labeling these new cards as “Lite Hash Rate” or “LHR” on their box and retail product listings online to help make it clear which version you’re actually buying. The hash rate is what miners use to measure the speed of any cryptocurrency mining device, so reducing this figure will make these GPUs a lot less efficient when it comes to doing the actual mining....

Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 are due to arrive all at once on January 28th, coming bundled up in The Yakuza Remastered Collection or sold separately. Presumably they’re the same as the versions in the Remastered Collection which debuted on PlayStation last year. As well as being spruced up for modern resolutions and framerates (they originally hit PlayStation 3 in 2009, 2010, and 2012), those were re-localised, with the scripts revised and some cut content re-added back....

Naturally, I took UUU for a spin to snap some shots of Tales Of Arise, since I’ve got it handy. That up top there is Arise’s protagonist Shionne using a fire spell during a battle. After a quick and easy setup, UUU allowed me to freeze the game, disable the interface, and navigate around the scene to line up a shot I liked. It also let me advance time by just a few frames at a time so I could walk her through that casting animation to get a decent pose....
