This includes improved stability and performance, a number of crash fixes, better vehicle controls including steering sensitivity options and the ability to rock stuck vehicles free, a larger spawn radius for cops so they presumably can no longer spawn behind you in a lift, fixes for bugs which could make a number of quests unfinishable, fixes for animation glitches in cutscenes, fixes for floating objects and T-posing NPCs, and so many more....

It’s an excellent platforming roguelike that keeps getting more so. The “Update Of Plenty” update landed on Wednesday, bringing a big balance overhaul while reworking weapons and the economy with an eye to “open up a wider range of builds, while not sacrificing what made meta builds fun”. Crossbows are two-handed now! Makes sense. The changes are mostly small but widespread, with crossbows being the stand-out exception. They now have “two separate attacks and are Survival only”, which means their damage scales as you pick up in-game orbs that also increase your health pool....

Less an expansion and more a sort of Dishonored 2.5, Death Of The Outsider builds upon the systems of its predecessor while acting as a fitting narrative conclusion to the entire series. It casts you as supernatural assassin Billie Lurk as she partners with former mentor Daud to take down godbro lorebore The Outsider. There’s clearly some DNA from The Sims in Dreamlight Valley’s character creation and decorating, but once you watch the protagonist dig a hammer out of the ground for Wall-E, the Animal Crossing inspirations seem the most prevalent. Disney Dreamlight Valley is set in a Magic Kingdom turned dark, as an event called The Forgetting has stripped many familiar Disney and Pixar characters of their memories. You must retore the world to its former glory, although much of your time seems to also be spent fishing, townbuilding and selfie-taking....

E3 has changed a lot since its inception in the 90s. It started out as a trade show for retailers, and over time turned into more of a public-facing marketing event. Each year, I’ve looked forward to E3, not wholly because of the game reveals, but because of that spectacle the show provides. Fun music performances, celebs on stage telling everyone they’re breathtaking, and bubbly developers have usually stood out more than trailers or gameplay videos on offer....

Whenever I was in town, I used to pop in and just browse. I particularly liked trading in old games and cashing them in for more old games. At that age, I wasn’t super in tune with what was hot at the time, so cool box art fuelled my decisions. The trailer shows that, in the first chapter, the twins have started looking for some closure around the death of their mother. There’s also a bunch of new characters we’ll be meeting in due time, and the devs have even suggested that we may have already seen the game’s big bad, too. Like Life Is Strange, not everything is quite as it seems with these teens, though. As they go through their memories, it becomes clear they have some sort of “supernatural bond” that gives both of them visions....
