There really are a lot of additions listed in the full update notes, but the most significant seems to be the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. loadouts. After level 25, you’ll be able to use Punch Card Machines to swap out stat and perk selections and to save your choices as custom loadouts. This means you can easily swap between different character builds for different kind of missions. There’s no cost to changing loadouts, and you can build a Punch Card Machine in your own camp....

Fight Crab, right, is about fighting crabs. These beasts are near-immortal, immune to even the mightiest battering, but rendered helpless if flipped onto their back. So it’s a physics-based brawler about flipping other crabs, with a little help from weapons. Fight Crab has 48 weapons including broadswords, axes, katanas, fans, sickles, flails, lances, shotguns, fish, katars, shotels, drills, halberds, chainsaws, jet engines, maces, electrowhips, and lightsabers - standard crab stuff, really....

In the hands of a seasoned pro, this is a game that’s essentially magical kung-fu, with your titular wizard pulling off fast and flashy spells against hordes of enemies in spectacular fashion. It looks incredible. But cor, it does not give up its secrets lightly. I’ve tried multiple times to make any kind of headway with Wizard Of Legend over the past couple of weeks, and each and every time I get my ass handed to me in the very first level....

Death Trash is set on a planet that humans colonised, then quickly left after they unearthed ancient secrets that they probably shouldn’t have. You play as one of the many outcasts who roams this open-world wasteland, either befriending or murdering the machines and monsters you find in it. The landscapes look excellent. You’ve got vast deserts, dark and bloody labs, ominous caves and forests filled with guts and meat-bits. I never knew pixel-art could look so gross, yet so inviting at the same time....

This particular round of rumors has kicked off with a video from Tom Henderson (leaker of recent Battlefield info) from last week. The main big claims from Henderson’s video are that expecting GTA 6 to launch in 2023 is likely premature (2024 or 2025 being more likely) and that it will be set in modern day Vice City—the GTA series analog for Miami. Other claims include that the game map will evolve or expand over time, possibly via DLC, and that one of the multiple playable characters will be a woman....

The Los Santos Summer Special is live now, thanks to a 1.4GB update. It isn’t a flashy one. There’s no big central feature you can point and get excited about. But it is more stuff, and more stuff is good while we wait, sure. So! New Adversary maps are set in the Diamond Casino. Nine new Open Wheel races are in, along with new editor bits to make your own....

Since then, an absolute laundry list of new stuff has been added, but the core has remained the same. Zagreus tears through several layers of his father’s kingdom, wielding one of several weapons (in one of several ‘forms’) that invite distinct approaches to wreaking havoc. Personally, I like to switch my brain off and whale on enemies with the sword or the fists, but I hear there are more subtle approaches that make better use of Zag’s full suite of abilities, dashing and casting and special attacking just so, like someone sophisticated....
