Which I think is what happened here (look, I’m getting back into League after a decade away)....

Device 6 is a good analogy for how this game might play (or read?) but the pitch for Delete After Reading sounds infinitely kookier. A despised billionaire steals the best game of all time, The Curse Of Penguin Island. That’s when a file named “DELETE AFTER READING” appears on your character’s phone, inviting you to join a heist and steal Penguin Island back. The rest of your squad includes Nina, a century-old ghost (103 years to be exact), Cinco the goblin rapper, and Tomate, a rabbit who claims to be the reincarnation of John Belushi, the late Blues Brother....

Announced during this year’s prolonged notE3, Far Cry 6 was set to pit us against Giancarlo Esposito in the fictional definitely-not-Cuban nation of Yara next February. As per both the earnings call and a tweet from the Far Cry account, however, we can now expect the game to arrive significantly later. The tweet, overly optimistic as ever, simply states that the team has “been given more time to allow us to make this the game you aspire to play while focusing on the well-being of our teams”....

This edition of MSR is all about single player video games that have multiple playable characters. Basically, the games that occassionally push their supporting cast into the foreground. So, for this Mystery Steam Reviews, both myself and Matthew had to choose three games where you control more than one character through the single player campaign. Again, Metal Gear Solid 2 is a good example. An example that made a lot of people cross when it came out, but an example nonetheless....

Now Ubisoft have laid out a new roadmap for updates still to come, which prioritises some quality-of-life features while pushing back story DLC and new online modes. The next patch for the game will be Title Update 4.5, which is due to launch on June 1st. That’s a little later than intended, but it’ll fix bugs found in 4.0 and it’ll add a 60 FPS “performance mode” for console players....

I’m not a fan of Paul W.S. Anderson’s numerous films, but Welcome To Raccoon City is a full reboot with a new cast and director. It also looks to hew closer to the source material. The trailer above shows Leon, Claire, Jill and Wesker exploring locations familiar from the games, including a dusty old mansion, external glimpses of the police station, and even some specific shots directly taken from the games....

It’s not yet clear how that library of games will differ from the current PlayStation Now library, but one thing is certain: this is a move that definitely benefits people with a PlayStation and a PC more than it does standalone PC peeps. And yet, even as someone who falls into the former camp of PlayStation and PC owners, I’m still not sure this new PS+ is something I actually want....

Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick talked about the price increase in relation to basketball game NBA 2K21 at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference (thanks, VGC), saying: “We announced a $70 price point for NBA 2K21, our view was that we’re offering an array of extraordinary experiences, lots of replayability, and the last time there was a frontline price increase in the US was 2005, 2006, so we think consumers are ready for it....
