My first, and probably most important, impression of Ash is that she doesn’t feel too overpowered. The previous Legend Seer launched in a rather oppressive state, but this time around Respawn have made sure that the new character doesn’t dominate the battlefield too much. Having said that, she is an offensive character, and has some nifty abilities that help her hunt down enemy squads. The first is her passive, Marked For Death, which lets her use her pilot data knife on death boxes, and reveals the location of the enemy squad that, well, created said death box....

I’ve reported on a few leaks this week surrounding Mirage. On Tuesday, there was a lot of discussion online about a YouTube video purporting to know details of the game. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier put his head into the scrum to say sources familiar with Mirage had discredited some of the leaked details but confirmed others, including the game’s name, setting and return to old-school Ass Creed basics. Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb also waded in to say he’d heard the Mirage name was legit....

Valhalla’s Ostara Festival will run from this Thursday, March 18th, to April 8th. Like the winter festival, Ubisoft say that Ravensthorpe will get a bit of a makeover and some new activities. This time around the village will be blooming. You’ll also have egg hunts to participate in and new rewards to earn. More details about the festival will arrive later this week when it begins, they say. Also coming in the new title update is the ability to change the appearance of your gear and armor....

Boudon’s comments come from an interview with Games Radar, where she said the studio has heeded people’s “desire for a character driven story, focused on the core pillars of the first ACs in a more intimate scale”. Those core pillars are stabbing, sneaking and running. I like those pillars. She also talks about how new tech and greater experience allows them to do a better, more thorough job of simulating a smaller city, with “a richer and denser map compared to the first ACs”....

All instant kills have been likewise culled - all damage is now applied through bleeding, allowing more time to recover. This is, in some way, a skeleton of a list. My interests generally lie in making the game more exciting and more dynamic. I don’t usually add new factions to play with, as my knowledge of war is minimal, and I don’t have a favourite side to play as. But I do wish Arma 3 had engaging, dynamic scenarios where the game’s sandbox generates a personal war. That’s here, in mission and campaign form....
