Developers Draknek & Friends announced the departure date earlier today, setting things off with a new launch trailer. As per Hazelden’s existing run of delightful puzzlers, A Monster’s Expedition (Through Puzzling Exhibitions) offers a charming series of bite-sized brainteasers to untangle. This time, his eye is firmly on the Sokoban field - framing an open-world romp across an unusually flooded museum by way of these log-pushing challenges. Seems an unwieldy way to get around, sure, but then my flimsy arms can’t knock timber around like this fuzzy friend....

Anyway, in order to facilitate building Alice0 a ferny gloom house with high ceilings and low light, I used The Sims 4: Vampires, because that had a lot of the plants and foliage I wanted. I got very frustrated when doing this build that there wasn’t enough dank European foliage to be had, even in custom content....

Spotted by Twitter user Rebs Gaming, Skyrim’s iconic city of Whiterun has been (almost) fully recreated by forger Bullet2thehead9. I haven’t touched Skyrim in years, so this recreation didn’t look too outlandish in my eyes. That’s exactly how Skyrim looks in my memory (minus the assault rifle, and the spartan UI, and the floating sticky grenades.) The forger even attempted to create custom stone statues to decorate the city, a much-appreciated little touch....

You don’t just get given this stuff. Each beast needs to be hunted, tracked, and eventually won over to your side to become part of your armory. Then you can unleash it on your foes. Though, with enough time passing, you’ll eventually be up against enemies with their own Hydra, Griffin, or Doom Pupper. So, no Brad Pitt scowling amidst the men in this one, though you can dial down the whole ‘gods floating over the battlefield’ schtick (which does happen, btw)....

It’s not just the RX 5600 XT that’s been added to AMD’s Raise the Game bundle, either. Its OEM counterpart, the RX 5600 (which is only available in pre-built PCs from third party system builders), and its laptop sibling, the RX 5600M, are also now eligible for AMD’s free games deal as well. However, much like the RX 5500 and RX 5500M, these systems only come with the free games associated with their respective XT model and not the three months of Xbox Game Pass....

Each new mode will takeover the normal battle royale for the few days they’re active, so in a couple of hours that mode will be Second Chance. It gives you a Respawn Token, so if you get murdered in a match, you’ll be able to use this to completely revive yourself with all your guns and loot (rather than a pal having to get you up at a Respawn Beacon), though you will have to skydive back into the action as usual....

No firm details on Steam and Switch yet, they’re just happening, okay. Before then, Lost Treasures starts next Tuesday. Lost Treasures will also bring a new limited-time mode, Armed And Dangerous Evolved. Respawn explain: “it’s snipers, shotguns & Evo Armor only, with no Respawn Beacons. Instead, you’ll be able to revive your fallen teammates with a new item: the Mobile Respawn Beacon. You’ll start each match with one in your inventory, so choose wisely when and where to deploy it....

In this area you’ll see shark fins swimming around. Look for the light blue and yellow ones, these are Grand Tusks. Battlefield 2042’s open beta was originally scheduled to happen in September, although no specific date had been set. The release date delay announcement mentioned that “updates on the open beta will be coming later this month.” Venturebeat’s Jeff Grubb first tweeted about a rumoured delay to a major videogame earlier today, before reportedly mentioning via Discord that the game he was referring to was Battlefield 2042.
