Fighting in Elderborn is splendid. It’s mostly because you’re mobile. I couldn’t tell you much about the plot, except that there isn’t much of one. You’re a person with a sword and there are monsters. It’s all edgy fantasy gruffness that boasts about being “metal AF”, and reader, I am not metal AF. But I do enjoy hitting people with swords, and this is something Elderborn excels at. Actually, don’t use the sword....
This started yesterday when Epic added a sneaky new payment option to the mobile version of Fortnite, which bypassed official app store payment systems to offer lower prices on Fortnite’s microtransaction cash, V-Bucks. Apple and Google require payments to go through their own store systems, taking a 30% cut on the way. Epic don’t agree with this which, yeah, that’s fair enough. And Apple and Google don’t agree with that....

As the name implies, the new update drags the player into a vortex called Zharkov. It’s an environmentally threatening place, with creepy vertical asteroids (I’ve no idea why they creep me out, but they do), and space lightening that can zap your ship should you venture into it. Everspace 2’s world design has always been impressive and it remains the case here. A new ship, the Vanguard, should help while passing through the asteroids....
It is all go on the new PC games bandwagon this evening, as the Future Games Show has just wrapped up its notE3 show for 2020 - making it the third big games showcase of the evening after Day One of the Guerrilla Collective and the PC Gaming Show. Unlike the other two shows tonight, the bulk of the Future Games Show was focused on new content for existing games, such as a new map for MMO Last Oasis and expanded versions of trailers we’ve seen earlier in the evening....
Little is yet known about this sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, except that it is a direct sequel and will once again feature the medieval French siblings “doing whatever it takes to survive a brutal, uncaring world.” The trailer shows an older Hugo and Amicia, possibly in a different, more Mediterranean climate. Southern France was often unseasonably rainy and muddy in the first game. There is also a massive tidal wave of rats....

As the name suggests, rising sea levels have turned the world of Floodland into a series of smaller, disconnected islands. With a band of survivors in your care, you’ll need to scavenge and explore, reinvent technologies, and “maintain the peace between differing factions”. The first order of business is catering to the basic needs of survivors by providing “food, shelter, water, health, security”, but you’ll quickly run out of space on any single island....
As Windows Central noted, the 1945 Willys Jeep is cheap to buy for credits and cheap to upgrade with Skill Points, and upgrading earns you a Super Wheelspin—a big go on the prize wheel which pays out credit rewards and unlocks things. So, some players are ploughing everything into crap Jeeps. Apparently you can get Skill Point refunds if you donate cars, so Jeep farmers are gifting them freely. How does the Genshin Impact pity system work? The pity system in Genshin Impact essentially ensures that you receive certain ranks of characters after wishing a certain number of times. Pity can be tracked by clicking the History button on the Wish page. From there, just count the number of pulls since your last 5-star character. I’m not gonna lie. I do not like bugs and insects very much, and there’s a part of me that always recoiled slightly whenever I encountered a new skittering boss in Hollow Knight. But who could say no to the cute, almost Rayman-like limbs of Haiku and his big round face? This is much more my vibe, as are the hopping nuts and bolts, bouncing tires with their grim little faces and enraged little robo vacuums you’ll be whacking with Haiku’s sword in the demo’s opening area....
As an expanding hole, you eat bricks, chairs, cars, until eventually you’re able to gobble up entire houses. And who doesn’t love some tasty brickwork for their tea? As enjoyable as it is to not worry about updating MyFitnessPal while inhaling everything that isn’t nailed down, Donut County would get a tad monotonous if there wasn’t more flavour. And thankfully certain things you scoff down will change how you interact with the world....
