Blocky Dungeon’s developer SquareDev explains it like this, “In this game, you explore a dungeon you create yourself piece by piece! Move, rotate and place the dungeon rooms and corridors, and go through them as the knight, fighting enemies and collecting treasures and items that will help you along the way!” It’s really better to look at than read about though, so check out this new video of its latest version: From the video, you can spot that Blocky Dungeon is perhaps more of a strategic puzzle than an action puzzle like Tetris itself....

This War Of Mine is about civilians trying to survive in an unnamed besieged city, supply lines cut off by the military outside. You need to scavenge for food, medicine, and other supplies, try to build a cosy-ish home, survive bandits and soldiers alike, and face difficult decisions about how many people you can save and how far you’ll go. It’s a bit grim. “Whether This War of Mine truly succeeds in saying anything more than ‘war is hell’ I don’t know....

Titanfall Legends’ cancellation comes amid a tricky week for publisher EA. At the company’s earning report on Tuesday, EA announced that they would also be cancelling Apex Legends Mobile and suspending development on a Battlefield mobile title. Waiting for a new Titanfall feels as up-and-down as being in a Titan would, I imagine. Or just a bumpy rollercoaster. In 2019, Respawn’s CEO shared that the studio isn’t done with Titanfall yet....

Right after A Short Hike won the Independent Games Festival Awards grand prize last night, the Game Developers Choice Awards declared Untitled Goose Game the game of the year. Other games to win prizes Dev Choice Awards include Disco Elysium, Control, and Baba Is You - some good stuff.
