Best AK-74u loadout in Warzone
The AK-74u currently has the makings of a rock-solid sniper support. The poor ADS speed will have less impact at mid-range than in extremely close quarters. Plus, the 74u has killer headshot damage, so you can beat out many other sniper support SMGs with some precision. Here’s how to build it:
Muzzle: GRU Suppressor Barrel: Task Force Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock Underbarrel: Spetznaz Grip Ammunition: 50 Round Drum
The GRU Suppressor and Task Force Barrel give excellent recoil control, bullet velocity, and damage range, both of which are key for the mid-range fights you’ll want to be taking. Plus, the Task Force adds some strafe speed. Adding in the Spetznaz Grip reduces recoil further, which is huge for getting those headshots. Precision is really the key to making the 74u shine. As usual, you want the largest magazine available. In this case, that is the 50 Round Drum. Of course, that bulky magazine combined with a bulky suppressor costs some mobility. I like to make up for it with the Raider-equivalent KGB Skeletal Stock, which will boost your strafe speed while aiming and firing. You do have a few options with this build. Namely, trading the Spetznaz Grip for a GRU Elastic Wrap is a great way to speed up your ADS time. If you can handle a bit more recoil, it’s a fine idea. You can also pick up a Tiger Team Spotlight to get better movement speed, which will help you against more close-range oriented SMG users. Try a couple of variations and see what suits your style of play best.
Secondary weapon
A sniper support like this will of course go best with a Sniper Rifle. The Swiss K31 and Kar98k are the kings of on-the-move sniping in Season 4. You could also opt for a ZRG for maximum range. For even more options, hit up our guide to the best Sniper Rifles in Warzone!
Best AK-74u loadout with Perks and Equipment
To make your AK-74u loadout even stronger, getting the right combination of Perks and Equipment is essential. Here’s what you should consider equipping:
Perk 1: EOD Perk 2: Overkill/Ghost Perk 3: Amped Lethal: Semtex Tactical: Stun Grenade
For Perk number 1, we’ve gone with EOD. Explosives are as common as ever in Warzone, and EOD will save you from them. This one is an easy choice. Onto Perk 2, and Overkill or Ghost are your two best picks here. Overkill grants you the ability to equip a primary weapon in your secondary slot, which means you can get an assault rifle or sniper rifle to swap to if you’re suddenly engaged in a long range fight. Ghost is a solid overall Perk to keep you under the radar as the circle closes. Plus, you can always pick up a secondary weapon from floor loot, dead bodies, or Loadout Drops, so not taking Overkill isn’t going to impede you too much. Amped lets you swap your weapons super fast, which is brilliant for Warzone’s varied gunfights as you never know who’s lurking around the corner or sniping you from a rooftop. Semtex is our pick for the lethal slot. It’s just the best all-around lethal for fighting enemies on foot right now. If you’re concered with vehicles though, try Thermite Grenades or Proximity Mines. Finally, Stun Grenades totally disorient enemies and effectively render them useless for a few seconds. Perfect for chucking into a building before clearing it out.
