We’re talking it’s diabolical ammo count. You’ll only get a measly 25 bullets in the extended mags. Sure, it has a fairly high damage output, but when the likes of the Grau and the M4A1 have more than double its capacity…Well, why bother? Well, the SCAR isn’t absolutely terrible. Its ironsights are generous, it’s fairly easy to handle with the right attachments and it can certainly dole out big damage. Below we’ll break down how we kit out the SCAR for Warzone.
Best SCAR Loadout in Warzone
When it comes to the SCAR, it’s all about increasing its damage range, lowering recoil, and giving it some more ammo in the mag. Here’s our SCAR loadout for Warzone:
Barrel - FORGE TAC 20.0” LB Muzzle - Monolithic Suppressor Ammunition - 30 Round Mags Underbarrel - Commando Foregrip Optic - VLK 3.0x Optic
First off, we want to increase damage range and plenty of other stats in the process. The Forge Tac Barrel is the longest of the lot and will give you a greater chance of hitting your shots on targets at a distance. Next up, the Monolithic Suppressor will ensure you’re not appearing on the map when pulling the trigger and it’ll further increase your damage range too. The SCAR’s biggest weakness is its fire rate (which we can’t do anything about) alongside its small magazine size. Thankfully we can up the latter by 10 bullets. Not a whopping total, but 30 rounds should give you more leeway to secure those kills. We’ve popped a Commando Foregrip on the SCAR to keep the ADS speed fairly tight and improve stability when firing at range. You can swap this out for a Merc Foregrip if you find the vertical recoil tricky to handle, or if you’re after some hip fire accuracy. Finally, the VLK scope is the cleanest mid range scope of the bunch, and the one which provides some hidden stat boosts. Namely, you’ll get greater recoil control and stability - simply put, this is perfect for the SCAR’s less than ideal handling.

Secondary weapon: SMG if you’re running Overkill Perk 1 - Cold Blooded, Double Time or EOD Perk 2 - Overkill Perk 3 - Amped Lethal - C4 Tactical - Heartbeat Sensor or Stun Grenade
Take your pick out of Cold Blooded, Double Time or EOD. They all have their benefits and it’s largely down to personal preference. The SCAR’s going to be your mid to long range shooter, but you’ll absolutely want an SMG for those close range gunfights. If you want to get Ghost later down the line, simply select it from a future Loadout Drop, then just pick up your SCAR and SMG - sorted. You’ll likely want to do this later in the game so you don’t get caught by a UAV in the final circles. C4 is easily the most versatile lethal as it can explode vehicles in one explosion, breach buildings easily, and can crack enemy armour speedily too. A Heartbeat Sensor comes in handy for detecting opponents in the early game but falls off later as people nab Ghost. With this in mind, Stun Grenades are exceptionally powerful when pushing enemies and remains useful throughout matches. Again, though, it’s largely personal preference and you can always swap out your tactical on the fly by picking up another Loadout. Amped is our favourite of the third perks as it gives you faster weapon swap speeds. This comes in handy when you want to push buildings, or if you run out of ammo on the SCAR and need to quickly swap to your SMG and finish them off.
