It was an ambitious project, that whole Final Fantasy XV Universe nonsense, and there’s still a part of me that can’t quite believe that Square Enix managed to get away with it all. I mean, what other game has tried stuffing so many of its critical plot lines into a hundred different bits of media before its actual release since? Zero. CD Projekt Red, on the other hand, might have finally cracked this whole ‘wider universe’ thing, and I really, really hope they actually manage to pull it off.
